With decent weather on the Bank Holiday Monday I popped over to South Weald with my wife Christine for a bit of fresh air and to hopefully get some photos.
I caught up with the Goosanders, 3 drakes and 2 Redheads on the smaller of the 2 lakes. They do have an uncanny knack of keeping themselves on the far side of the lake or there always seems to be a tree in the way of a really good photo.

I managed to get a few decent shots, no flight shots but in truth it was good to be out with blue skies and sunshine replacing the constant grey overcast Christmas weather. Roll on spring.
